The Sailing Harbor of Propriano [Ph.Desjobert]

The Gulf of the Valinco, situated on the Western coast, in the south of the gulf of Ajaccio, shelters the town of Propriano and its important Sailing Harbor.

In the 18th century, four small houses appeared, as on a map for children, on the site of Propriano nested at the end of the Valinco, this superb gulf which, for its lands sheltered from winds, at the door of a hinterland with many ressources, was much frequented from the earliest Antiquity.

Today, this town which is also a commercial, fishing and sailing harbor, is very appreciated by number of vacationists who find there, under the serene look of Olmeto, an ideal "bridge" between beaches and mountains which are very near.
