wall were characteristic of the fortified castles of the Cap Corse.
They were the residence of the lords and symbolized the political

it. Today they are sometimes restructured or in ruins or have even
disappeared. |

| Mills |
 |
The windmills lined the rocky crests
in the North of the Cap Corse.
They were used for milling the wheat from Balagne or Italy, in
exchange for wine of the Cap.
Today, they are all in ruins, but visible, unlike most of the water
mills which are situated along torrents and burried in the scrub.
